This year Waikato Football Club wants to really take an active role in the community. In an email sent to sponsors of the club we highlighted a couple of organisations that we would be supporting this year. One of those organisations was Parafed Waikato.
Parafed Waikato is a physical activity provider for people with physical disabiltiies. We offer a range of sports for people to try at a grassroots level with pathways to Paralympic sport.
Parafed Waikato is a growing organisation that provides sport and recreation opportunities as well as advocacy for its members.
Throughout the course of the 2009/2010 season www.waikatofc.co.nz will be updating you on parafed events and stories. Hopefully before the season reaches its end we will be able to aide and assist parafed in setting up some programmes with Football and giving some of the participants involved a chance to meet and spend time with some of the Waikato FC Players.
If you get a chance to attend some of these programmes or would like to know more please contact the on their website by clicking the logo above.
